Research Project Application Review
ATHN encourages researchers to submit research projects that help expand the scientific knowledge related to bleeding and clotting disorders. Currently, areas of interest include hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, rare coagulation disorders, platelet disorders, and thrombosis. The ATHN research review process, conducted through multidisciplinary review panels, seeks to ensure and confirm the scientific merit and feasibility of each proposed research project.
The review process is simple:
- Contact ATHN at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about your research project. If research opportunities are available, we will send you an ATHN Research Project Application to complete. Be sure to gather any required support materials. Review dates are generally about one month after the submission deadline.
- An experienced multidisciplinary panel of reviewers will carefully assess the significance of the study, the proposed methodology, the qualifications of the researcher and the budget.
- Within weeks following completion of the review, you will be notified of the review decision. Respond to reviewer questions and comments within a timely manner
- If your research project is approved and involves the use of existing data, please be prepared to execute a Data Sharing and Use Agreement prior to starting your project.
