NATF Traveling Fellowship – Funding Available

Our colleagues, the North American Thrombosis Forum (NATF), is awarding one $5,000 fellowship to cover lodging and travel for a physician (either Junior Faculty or physicians-in-training), scientist, nurse, or pharmacist to explore cross-disciplinary diagnosis, treatment, education, and research related to thrombosis.  The application Deadline is July 15, 2008. NATF Summit

The NATF is also hosting a 1-day symposium, emphasizing clinical science and professional education which is intended to provide a concise, state-of-the-art overview of prophylaxis measures and critical developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of thrombotic disorders. Focused sessions in five key areas include translational research, clinical research, prevention and education, public policy, and advocacy.  The Thrombosis Summit is a CME accredited programs for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.  Highlighted topics include:

  • Pharmacogenomics of Warfarin
  • HIT: Controversies and Updates
  • Thrombosis and Cancer
  • Anticoagulation Management and Warfarin Safety
  • Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease
  • Estrogen and Thrombosis
